The exhibition ‘Imago Augusti. Two new portraits of Augustus from Rome and Isernia’ at the Mercati di Traiano – Museum of the Imperial Forums presents emperor Augustus’ two marble-portrait heads recently found in Rome, during the archaeological excavations conducted in the via Alessandrina, in the area of ​​the Forum of Trajan, and along the via Occidentale in Isernia, while working at the medieval city walls restoration.
