The exhibition ‘Imago Augusti. Two new portraits of Augustus from Rome and Isernia’ at the Mercati di Traiano – Museum of the Imperial Forums presents emperor Augustus’ two marble-portrait heads recently found in Rome, during the archaeological excavations conducted in the via Alessandrina, in the area of the Forum of Trajan, and along the via Occidentale in Isernia, while working at the medieval city walls restoration.
